Granta Park tops out at full height

09/05/2008
Mace client MEPC's Granta Park Riverside development recently had a topping out ceremony as the structure reached full height. Set within an area of mature woodland alongside the River Granta in Cambridgshire, the development will comprise three, three-storey buildings around an open courtyard and will provide 68,000 square foot of office, workshop and laboratory space. Mace is construction manager and CDM coordinator on the £9.5m speculative development which is due for completion in 2008.
To mark the occasion Roger Quince (current Granta Park managing director) and John Granger (incoming managing director) were invited to put the finishing touches to the roof slab. Trowels in hand, their efforts were checked by Alastair Maciver (pictured right) managing director of MJ Gallagher, the reinforced concrete specialists that completed the concrete frame work, and Chris Travers project manager for Mace (pictured left).
