Mace to host workshops at Smart FM Conference 2010

01/09/2010
Mace will be hosting two workshops at the Smart Facilities Management (FM) Conference on 8th September 2010 at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London.
The conference aims to highlight the benefits of a more strategic approach to FM within the public sector.
The need to centralise, standardise and professionalise procurement processes is increasing due to the formation of the new coalition Government and its drive to cut the deficit. The ‘Smart' FM programme presents ways to drive maximum spend reductions by bringing together key decision-makers as well as those who can implement, develop and deliver these savings.
Mace Workshops:
Mace will be hosting two workshops at the event:
A Tale of Two Facilities: What a global investment bank learned from a local borough - and vice versa
Meeting savings targets whilst maintaining or improving service delivery
The first workshop will explore the lifecycle of simultaneous projects, one in the public sector and one in the private sector. Although the objectives and complexities of facilities strategy differ, the end goal is always to drive efficiencies while improving effectiveness. The session will look at the role of facilities management in creating mutually beneficial partnerships with clients. Representatives from Mace, London Borough of Lewisham and Invesco will join the panel.
The second workshop explores how strategic facilities management is now seen as a major driver of business efficiency and a strategic influencer within an organisation. Furthermore, it discusses how the twin objectives of FM, business efficiency and improved service delivery can be met.
Our experience:
Mace is one of the world's most accomplished consultancy and construction companies; we understand the importance of high-performing real estates and the role building operations play in that performance. As facilities managers we also know that protecting the asset is just the beginning. Facilities are more than just buildings and work environments. They are ultimately about the people and businesses that operate within them.
Our approach is centred on creating value from facilities and driving that value back into a company. We align corporate objectives with work places, and then we work diligently to achieve those objectives. We do this across buildings and borders ensuring that our clients and their users receive the same quality service no matter where they are.
Meet us at Smart FM 2010
Facilities experts from Mace will be on hand to discuss not only how to get facilities working, but how to get them to work harder for companies.
