Mace tops out at Savile Row

Mace, Stanhope and client D2 Private have celebrated 23 Savile Row topping out with a traditional ceremony. The event commemorated the seven-storey office and retail building reaching its structural height.
The traditional ceremony saw the building's highest patch of concrete laid by Deirdre Foley of D2 Private. Several members of the project team were present for the concrete laying and the remaining guests viewed the ceremony on plasma screens at a lower level.
Mace project director John Kennedy and Stanhope project director Forbes Macpherson presented D2 Private's Deidre Foley with a commemorative silver trowel to mark the event.
Kennedy commented: "This significant milestone in the project is credit to the entire team and gives us increasing confidence on the overall project delivery."
The project is on target for completion in March 2009.
