Mace wins commission for Greater Manchester Police

Mace has been appointed on the Greater Manchester Police (GMP) three year framework agreement in a client representative and project management role. Mace is currently providing a full multidisciplinary service for the MPA, and has a proven track record in providing innovative working approaches and exceeding MPA expectations.

The first commission for the Greater Manchester Police framework project began at the end of last year, which entails DDA (Disability Discrimination Act 1995) and accessibility works to 12 police stations across Greater Manchester. The full scope of work includes improvements to the car parks, external access, reception and foyer and improved drainage and building security systems.

The project has been split into two phases of work, through phase one Mace is now working on police stations in Higher Blackley, Didsbury, Irlam, Farnworth in Manchester and Standish station in Wigan.  Phase two police stations will commence in July including stations in Bury, Salford, Stockport, Oldham and Bolton.
