Sense Limited launches its first Quarterly Construction Industry Inflation Report

Sense Limited, the cost consultancy arm of the Mace Group, has launched its first report on construction industry inflation. This quarterly 6-page report is a free download from the Sense website and contains a great deal of pertinent detail on the state of pricing within the construction sector and an insightful overview on the state of the market more generally.

"The construction industry is an important indicator of macroeconomic health. When times are good the industry visibly booms. When a downturn approaches, construction is one of the first to feel the effects. This has never been more apparent than in the house-building sector during the unprecedented credit crunch we're currently experiencing. Experts suggest that in 2008, private housing starts will fall to their lowest level since the early 1980s, which is nothing short of catastrophic for the sector and has dire consequences for the industry as a whole.
