Mace was appointed to carry out a due diligence review of 10 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, on behalf of client Aon when they were contemplating relocating their HQ in Spring 2006.

The role included the management and coordination of the Aon professional team when assessing the proposed building and negotiating improvements to the base build scheme as part of the Agreement for Lease discussions.

A detailed assessment of the developers was also undertaken by the Mace pre-construction team to determine whether the developers target completion date for the building was feasible, which was of paramount importance to the client.

Mace participated fully in the legal discussions prior to Heads of Terms being agreed and then, subsequently, during the Agreement to Lease discussions from a technical perspective.
