The University developed a new institute for Biomedical research, to continue and expand their cutting edge research programme into post-genome medicine. The new institute adjoins both the medical school and the Queen Elizabeth hospital, and holds seven floors of research laboratories, including extensive category three facilities.

Mace were requested to support the University in managing the delivery stage of the project, to ensure successful completion and handover to coincide with the beginning of the 2003/04 academic year.
