Mace has been appointed on the Kings College London framework to provide project management and contract administrator services in the delivery of new build and refurbishment projects for the college across their central London and Denmark Hill campuses.
CSI Building for Palliative Care
Mace was project manager and contract administrator for a new £6.5m Palliative Care Centre which includes three storeys of offices, lecture theatres, meeting and consultation rooms.
A key feature of the building is that it is to achieve an ‘excPellent' BREEAM rating.
Institure of Psychiatry
This £7.5m project for the Institute of Psychiatry involves the refurbishment of three floors of an existing occupied building in which the new work comprising; new entrance, fire escape, offices and laboratories
are to be constructed and coordinated whilst the occupants remain in the building.
Neuroscience Institute
Mace he feasibility study up to the end of Stage C for this new state of the art £44m Neuroscience Institute. The building is to include for; research, office and teaching space and is to attain an ‘Excellent' BREEAM rating. There are a number of key development, planning, cost and strategic service moves required to render the project viable all of which Mace are coordinating.
Development Management
Part of the £250m KCL/UMDS PFI project, the demolition and reconstruction of Hunts House in the centre of Guys Hospital campus has been undertaken on a design and build basis by Bouygues UK. Mace acted as project and development managers for european Land throughout the two and a half year preconstruction activities, which included design, procurement, enabling works and demolition.Â
