Information
Mace has been appointed to provide project management and support services to the North London Waste Authority (NLWA), a joint partnership body of seven North London boroughs, throughout its Waste Procurement Programme, adhering to the specified timeframe, quality and cost requirements laid out.
The current disposal contract expires in December 2014. To meet the Authority's future requirements, a Waste Programme with several procurement projects is in progress. This includes two concurrent PFI procurements and an interim contract.
The NLWA is the second largest waste disposal authority in the UK, handling over one million tones of municipal waste per year. The new contract is valued at an estimated £2.7 billion over 25 years.
