Director
As director of the Mace Business School, Brian's role is to ensure Mace's preferred suppliers receive learning and development so that Mace can deliver world class solutions for its clients. Prior to his current role, Brian was employed by Mace to provide a consultancy service to clients' supply chains. His remit to assess performance and identify learning requirements made his move to the Business School a natural next step.
Brian has wide industry experience having worked in both the private and public sectors. Before joining Mace he was director of Construction Best Practice and a member of the Strategic Forum for Construction with Sir John Egan and Peter Rogers during the drafting of the Accelerating Change document. He was also director of Rethinking Construction and most recently, director at Constructing Excellence where he was responsible for leading the industry change agenda set out by Sir John Egan.
Prior to joining Construction Best Practice, Brian was director of professional services at the Chartered Institute of Building where he was responsible for the development of professional members. In this role he was involved in the development of "Adjudication" under the Construction Act and the role out of Latham's report on Constructing the Team. He was also treasurer to the European Council for Building Professionals, a pan European body providing representation on behalf of construction management.
Brian has also been a tutor and examiner on the final year RICS Technology, Economics and Law Diploma course for the College of Estate Management.
