Information

The project comprises the construction of 8 one and two bedroom live/work apartments at roof level of a five storey building. The scope of works includes the relocation of all existing plant from the roof to within the ceiling void of the central corridor. There are 52 existing apartments within the developments which will remain occupied throughout the works.

This was a repeat order commission for our client Lemonland for whom we undertook the original construction works for the 52 apartments in 2000 and whom we have worked with over the past 6 years on a number of other schemes.

The project was logistically challenging due to the constraints with regards to access as the Grand Union Canal runs along two perimeter edges of the building and there is only a single width road access to the front of the building. The other key challenge is managing the impact on the building occupants, requiring close work with the tenants and building manager.

Works commenced on site in March 2007 and the project reached completion in early 2008.
